Content Development
WHY we do it
Every math department benefits from customized content. Teacher and Leadership capacity is limited.
Capitalizing on an additional, outside resource allows building professionals to focus on student contact while necessary tools are developed.
HOW we do it
All content development processes start with a detailed data analysis. State, district, school, department, and team data will be analyzed for patterns and opportunities.
Content will go through a draft development and review process and then be published to any location and in any format.
Priority Standards
Adopted curricular resources are gathered and parsed for all assessment tools and considered against Priority Standards (if developed). Teachers collaborate on items from multiple resources to determine the best measures of necessary knowledge.
If necessary, rubrics will be developed to accompany common assessments.
Common Assessments
State Standards and historical performance data are compiled and analyzed for patterns and opportunities.
Priority Standards will be determined and aligned to curriculum, calendars, pacing, and assessment.
High-Level Performance Tasks
Adopted curricular resources are analyzed at the lesson level.
Where low-level tasks exist, they are converted to high-level tasks and instructional support is added to accompany them.
